About Rosie

I come from a family deeply rooted in Western medicine—most of my uncles and cousins are general practitioners. My original intention was to follow in their footsteps, but life led me on a different path. While completing my Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at Simon Fraser University (graduated in 2005), I suffered a recurrence of an old basketball injury that left me using crutches. In search of relief, I turned to my father, who practiced medical acupuncture. After just one treatment, I was able to walk again without crutches. That transformative experience sparked my passion to explore the healing potential of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
I pursued formal studies at Shang Hai TCM College for five years, later completing my clinical practicum at PCU College before becoming a licensed Registered Acupuncturist in 2012. I began my career working at my father’s medical clinic in Chinatown, where I primarily supported seniors managing neuromuscular degeneration, chronic illnesses such as diabetes, as well as anxiety, depression, and sleep disorders. I have also had the privilege of treating stroke patients in a hospital setting. These experiences, combined with mentorship from my father, have shaped my understanding of what it takes to age well and maintain a high quality of life.
The Healing Path Clinic is centered on creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for every patient. Acupuncture is great for a wide range of conditions, including colds, infertility, migraines, chronic pain, sports-related injuries, vertigo, insomnia, pregnancy-related concerns, menopause, hormonal imbalances, stress-related symptoms, chronic fatigue, asthma, and various skin conditions.
I believe that healing is a collaborative process. Throughout the treatment, I share observations and explain the techniques I am using so that patients feel informed and empowered. By combining my clinical expertise with a compassionate presence, I support patients in actively engaging with their own healing journey.
Outside of my clinical practice, I am a proud mother of three young daughters and strive to be a positive role model for them. I am also passionate about martial arts—particularly traditional kung fu and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu—as I believe physical strength and resilience directly support mental and emotional well-being.
In both life and health, we all need both a physical and an emotional outlet. Acupuncture provides a powerful way to support both.
